Very knowledgeable physician, explained everything about the procedures and options. Was non judgemental on the choices we decided to make and made sure we were best informed about each of the choices.

Dr. Hugen performed nothing short of a miracle. His commitment to removing my cancerous bladder, that he spent 8 hours in surgery and called in specialists to address the challenges as they were encountered.I had empowered him to do whatever it took to achieve the desired results and that my faith gave me comfort in knowing the Lord would guide him and protect me. We won! He declared it was one of the hardest surgeries he had performed but there was no sign that cancer had spread outside the bladder...which is in the garbage where it belongs.Thank you Dr Hugen and the entire team at UCI for saving my life. I fought my insurance company to get to UCI and I am glad I did.In His Service, R. Michael Buehler

I'm usually nervous when I need to visit my Doctors. Not so with Dr. Hugen. His friendly demeanor makes each visit comfortable. He answers questions honestly and he even took the time to go over the images of my bladder from a CT scan. I've never had a Doctor do that for me. All in all... Dr. Hugen is very knowledgeable and has all of my respect. I'm lucky to have him as my Urologist.
